Read Anything Good Lately?

I'm in the mood for some lighter summer reading.  I feel that I've gotten a bit bogged down in the classics lately, and I'm looking to read something a bit more recent.  Here's what I'm hoping to read this summer: The Glass Castle, Great House, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and Nectar in a Sieve. Any other suggestions?

That book is intense but I loved it! She has another book after that, I heard it's pretty good as well! I just finished Sarah's Key, a MUST read.

Great choices!! Did you read 50 Shades of Grey yet? You should just to say you did.

Ha! I'm so happy to know that I'm not the last person to read this book! I'm about 5 pages away from finishing. I kept putting off buying it (for years) thinking it would be too dark but it's actually very inspiring! I just finished "The Darlings....." it was a great read and I'm going to read "The Red Book" next. Enjoy!

I'm reading The History of Love right now and it is incredibly lovely and sweet. Sad...but very sweet! Love it.

I wouldn't say glass castle is lighter riding, but it's good. Im re reading the virgin suicides...I do every year.

Books I have yet to crack open but bought for this summer... hell, they might take me all the way to the honeymoon!

The Right-Hand Shore, Bring Up the Bodies, The Innocents... books I was given for Christmas or earlier that I never got to: South of Broad, Girls in White Dresses.
