Mix it up!

Lately, I feel that I've been in a bit of a rut. I guess that's the thing about life; once you get patterns down, it can be hard to break them. I also think that sometimes all of our habits have a purpose because they seem to work for us! However, with the advent of spring, I'm thinking that I need to mix up my wardrobe a bit, get back on some sort of exercise plan, and learn how to cook more weekday dishes. So basically, this picture encapsulates all the things I need to improve upon; isn't it gorgeous? Anyone have any good tips for breaking boring old habits?

Love the photo! Start TODAY - don't put it off until tomorrow. Head to the grocery store, pick up some new ingredients for meals, reorganize your closet....just do it! :)

You chose a good photo to sum up your plans. It's so easy to get into a rut with weekday meals. I sometimes buy a supermarket magazine as they often have ideas for quick and tasty meals. Having a wardrobe clear-out followed by a shopping trip usually helps me!

Make a goal, tell people, and then do it!

i try to add at least one new, and completely out of the norm, recipe into our dinner menu each week. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but it's always kind of interesting.

I'm going through the same thing!! I'm making myself do a 20 minute pilates workout at home every morning that I do have the time to commit to.. it's a start and it makes me feel better :) xo S

To get out of old cooking habits, I try to work through my cook book. I pick a page/theme/season and then I force myself to make something new from those pages. Also, I started picking up Martha Stewart or Cooking Light on my way out of the grocery store and thats been helpful.

Get started today and if you need some inspiration-head to Pinterest! I've gotten some great ideas over the last few months there. In fact, I'm trying out 3 new recipes for our small group tonight.

You can do it! : )
